Game Review extension privacy

Point & Pip Game Review is a browser extension that shows a simpler review of a Backgammon.com game in a popup. It works on Backgammon.com analysis pages that you open while signed in to that site.

What the extension reads

The extension observes the game analysis response already loaded by the analysis page. It extracts the game ID, up to two player display names, match target, and move analysis fields such as move number, played move, alternatives, win estimates, error scores, classifications, and move times when available. It uses these fields to draw the win chance chart and rank decisions.

Where the data goes

The extracted fields pass from the Backgammon.com page to the extension's content script and popup in your browser. The content script holds up to five captures in tab memory. Closing or reloading the tab discards them. The extension does not upload game data to Point & Pip or another server, and it does not use extension storage or analytics.

Account information

The extension does not read or transmit your Backgammon.com password, cookies, session tokens, request headers, email address, or payment details. You sign in directly on Backgammon.com; Point & Pip does not manage that account.

Permissions and scope

The extension runs content scripts only on backgammon.com/analysis/* and www.backgammon.com/analysis/*. The activeTab permission lets the popup identify and message the current game tab. The extension does not read your other browsing pages.

Third parties

Backgammon.com provides the analysis response under its own terms and privacy practices. Point & Pip is an independent project and is not affiliated with Backgammon.com. The Point & Pip website has separate landing-page analytics; those analytics do not run inside the extension.
